Basic XNA 4 3D Game Engine Tutorial
« on: October 10, 2012, 06:09:51 PM »
I would like to share with everyone about my completed first part of my series on building a basic 3D game engine using XNA 4. The first two chapters were published in Software Developer Journal in the Game Gems issues published last July. You can download it from my web site, in the downloads section. I include the project source code, and all assets used in the tutorial. My mate created most of the artwork I use, she is the best.
I know how hard it is to find a good game tutorial that actually has you make something you can use later, such as a game engine. So I decided to create one myself. It is simple, it has only minimal physics, velocity and acceleration, and basic effects. However in following books, I will expand on it. I have a saying, start simple, and strong.
I will publish this as an ebook on Amazon in the near future as well.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me.

if (Try()) Do();
else DoNot();
