Review: Glory Road

Glory RoadGlory Road by Robert A. Heinlein
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Soft fantasy adventure in the classic “American boy falls into wormhole, finds himself in RPG land” theme, with a twist. Not too much different in premise from Lewis’s Narnia series (falling into a closet?), and even similar to Greg Bear’s Infinity Concerto/Serpent Mage.

I didn’t care for this story at all due to the silly fantasy scenes which all felt contrived, but someone who enjoyed Alice in Wonderland FOR the weirdness might enjoy this. It just wasn’t for me.
