Review: Nightfall and Other Stories

Nightfall and Other StoriesNightfall and Other Stories by Isaac Asimov
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A few good ones here amidst mediocre stories. Nightfall is overrated as “the greatest sci-fi story”. Asimov is a bit over-rated too, I dare say; a bit full of himself, anyway. I only say that after having read most of his fiction.

At the time, I suppose it was cutting edge but he was so clinical in his approach. His writing was methodical, not highly creative. Take planet X, alien Y, spaceship Z, and throw a couple humans into the mix. Re-shuffle and there you go with another one.
